The German Film Industry aims at positioning German Cinema more prominently on the international market, and, through national and regional funding programmes, encourages transnational co-productions with German participation. Molly Aida Film wants to stimulate international feature film projects to engage in such co-production.



Production companies interested in realizing a feature film project with a German co-company, or in shooting a film as co-producer to the German company, are invited to discuss funding strategies with us. Non Recoupable, Non Recourse Grants for qualified German production expenditures are available to projects of so-called "cultural relevance" intended for theatrical release in Germany, preferably with a commercial background; eligibility is furthermore depending upon the German production company´s contribution to the overall budget (minimum 20%), a distribution agreement already in place before application, and 75% of the picture demonstrably financed with International partners.

These funds can only be accessed through a qualified German production company as your partner.
